Datong -Qinhuangdao high-speed railway is the first GSM-R heavy haul railway in China, which adopts multi locomotive traction method.The annual volume of coal on the rail has exceeded 4 million tons, ranking first in the world. As the world's first-class freight heavy haul railway, it uses the GSM-R communication network to complete the synchronous operation and adopts the high- density operation mode of the multi ton combination train. The application of nearly 100 GSM-R optical fiber repeater equipment ensures the transmission probability of GSM-R signals. The synchronous train control system has reached the advanced international level.
